Failsafe Communications, Inc. offers 911 Backup Services through E911. In 2003 the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) mandated E911 which introduced new phone company technology into the emergency services environment. Until 2003, most 911 centers answered calls "911, WHO are you, WHERE are you, and WHAT is your emergency?" After E911, the phone number of the caller was sent to the 911 center. The number in turn was (and still is) correlated with a database containing all of your information. Today, 911 centers answer "911, what's your emergency?" because they already know who you are.
